This year, as PHNCF celebrates 20 years of service, we’re focused on one simple truth: books change lives—but only if they’re within reach.
Early literacy starts at home and in the community. Those first few years are critical, and every child deserves access to stories that spark imagination and build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
Your generosity helps us make that possible through programs like Reach Out & Read and our Little Free Libraries, ensuring families have access to books that inspire and educate.
Our goal is to raise $5,000—and we can only get there with the kindness and support of people like you. Together, we can put books into the hands of children and create brighter futures.
That’s why we’re committed to keeping books in the hands of families and individuals of all ages through programs that make reading part of everyday life:
- Reach Out and Read: Bringing books and literacy guidance into pediatric care during well-child visits.
- Little Free Library: Expanding book access across our pediatric locations and beyond—stocking shelves with titles for children, teens, and adults so everyone can find a book and share a story.
Our Impact So Far:
- Over 3,300 books distributed through Reach Out and Read
- More than 15,000 books collected and 13,000 shared through Little Free Libraries
- 9 new Little Free Libraries installed in 2025 thanks to donations and support from YOU—bringing our total to 19 libraries throughout the areas PHN serves
